My buddy from Portland, Ron Kirby, just spent an epic week at the Bill Putnam hut in the Selkirks, British Columbia. After the heli ride into the hut on a bluebird day, the skies unloaded on them on the second day and never stopped. They picked up over 2 meters of snow and scored an extra day when the heli was grounded due to "bad" weather.
Here's the link to his video: Bill Putnam Hut, Selkirks, BC
My sites are set on La Grave, France in spring 2015, but if that trip falls through, I'll be headed to the Selkirks with a group of CO locals and a few from elsewhere.
(June 2014 update: We didn't get picked for the Bill Putnam hut in the lottery drawing. Bummer!)

SOUTHERN SAN JUANS – HIGH CAMP HUT AND TELLURIDE (FEB 2013)
Video from a backcountry trip to the High Camp hut near Lizard Head Pass. After skiing the areas around the hut for a couple of days, we threw in a lift-access, bluebird day at Telluride following a good storm the night before. On our final day, we skied behind Ophir on ridiculous terrain that is honestly some of the finest easy-access backcountry skiing I've done in Colorado (shh... don't tell anyone).
DAY 3 OF THE JACKSON, WYOMING MANCATION (JAN 2012)
Here is the final edit of the 3 days we spent at the Baldy Knoll yurt. We approached from a trailhead on the Idaho side and climbed east into the Tetons back across into Wyoming.
DAY 1 OF THE JACKSON, WYOMING MANCATION (JAN 2012)
Here's the first of three edits from a trip to the Tetons in January 2012. Unbelievable inbounds and backcountry skiing around Jackson, WY and Driggs, ID. A 5-day storm dropped over 7 feet of snow just before we arrived. Slightly sensitive snowpack in the backcountry, but manageable. Superb conditions at Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee resorts.
